Tools of the Trade

The modern fabrication shop utilizes a myriad of tools... from mundane hammers and screwdrivers to sophisticated CNC machine tools. We try to purchase the best we can possibly afford when it comes to our tooling... quality tools that will last many years with proper use and maintenance. Most of the brands we choose to buy are made right here in the USA by hard working folks who are proud of what they produce; brands such as Miller, KURT, OSG, Wilson, duMont, Di-Acro, Uni-Punch, Haas Automation, Predator Software, Stephen Bader, Slater, and Accu-Trak, just to name a few. We will continue to support domestic manufacturers because we know they are just like us, and we need to stick together during these tough times.

Quality Materials and Finishes

In this day of low-cost, mass produced, inferior quality imported goods it’s nice to know there is a company still supplying quality American made product! Door hardware gets used and abused and needs to meet the challenge. We manufacture with only the best of materials, and while we cannot always guarantee a domestic made raw material, we CAN guarantee that the processing of this material is entirely domestic. Our employees take pride in what they make and it shows... from the initial CAD design and selection of materials all the way down the line to the final product that is packed with care. We at Tice Industries take your project seriously and design our product to stand the test of time.

Stainless Steel (316 Alloy) - Bead blast and wax

Customer: Glacier DRS, Inc. - Architect: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP

Monumental projects come along every so often and this one challenged us and our partners. The pulls were designed entirely with 3D CAD and output on a rapid prototyping machine that prints in material that can be burned out after investing which allowed us to skip the traditional molding process. The result is one small, yet important, piece of an award-winning project. http://www.segd.org/design-awards/5126/5127.html
